Halo

Product Design

HALO is a mobile experience designed to support young professionals who struggle with emotional fatigue, burnout, and the absence of everyday support. Challenge

Most mental-health apps dump the burden on the user. You’re the one expected to track, log, choose, and initiate everything, even when you barely have the strength to function. They only react when you poke them; they never step in on their own. Their responses are surface-level because they don’t actually understand your context or what you’ve been carrying. And when you’re at your lowest, the “tools” they offer feel useless because what people really need isn’t more tasks, but support that meets them where they are.

Objective

Halo is an AI-powered mental health companion designed to support young professionals when they actually need it not when they remember to open an app. Instead of acting like a tool you have to maintain, Halo behaves like that one friend who checks in at the right moments, listens without judgment, and remembers what you’ve been going through. It notices your context, understands your emotional patterns, and offers support that feels warm, human, and genuinely present. Halo doesn’t wait for you to ask for help. It shows up.

Results

A companion, not a dashboard HALO notices your patterns, remembers what hit you before, and reaches out on its own gently, not intrusively. Nudges, not homework No streaks. No guilt trips. Just small human check-ins when something feels off. Reflections that actually mean something It uses your history and emotional signals to offer insight not generic “you got this” nonsense. A space that doesn’t demand performance You can talk, vent, or say nothing. HALO holds the space without expecting polished answers. Made for low-energy days If you disappear, it doesn’t punish you. When you return, it’s the same steady warmth no shame, no scoreboard.
